Warm Roofs
Turn a conservatory you use twice a year into a room you use all year round.
Clarks Glass warm roofs
Is your conservatory too hot in summer and too cold in winter? A warm roof conversion takes off the old polycarbonate or glass roof and replaces it with a lightweight insulated one, tiled on the outside and plastered on the inside. The room stops swinging with the weather and starts holding its temperature the way the rest of the house does.
It is quicker and considerably cheaper than building an extension, because the frames and base you already have usually stay exactly where they are.
Usable all year round
An insulated roof stops the summer overheating and the winter heat loss that make a glazed conservatory uncomfortable for much of the year. The room becomes a genuine extension of the house rather than somewhere you close the door on.
Roof lights can be built in where you want to keep the sense of daylight, so the room stays bright without the temperature swings.
Fitted to your existing conservatory
Most warm roof installations reuse the existing frames and base, so the work is measured in days rather than weeks. A conversion does need Building Regulations approval, and we handle that for you — the submission and the sign-off both.
As with every installation we carry out, the work is covered by our ten year guarantee and carried out by our own team.
Why choose warm roofs?
Comfortable all year
A fully insulated roof holds the heat in through winter and keeps it out through summer, so the room stays usable in both.
Quieter
No more drumming every time it rains. A tiled roof cuts the noise that makes a polycarbonate conservatory unusable in bad weather.
Lower heating bills
Insulation to current standards means far less heat escaping through the roof, and no fan needed to make the room bearable in July.
Feels like a real room
A plastered ceiling, and downlights if you want them. It stops reading as a conservatory and starts reading as part of the house.

Every warm roof we fit is built to the same specification, whatever the size or shape of the conservatory underneath it.
